Following an acclaimed season at Her Majesty's Theatre Ballarat, Victorian Opera is bringing its hit production of Reg Livermore’s Ned Kelly: The Musical to Melbourne.
Originally produced in the late 1970s, the musical charts the life and times of Australia’s most notorious bandit. Director Stuart Maunder, conductor Simon Holt, and an incredible cast of rising stars and theatre-greats breathe fresh life into this iconic work in an unmissable new production.
Kelly's name is etched into national folklore. The outlaw bushranger, his gang and that iconic suit of armour — who was Ned Kelly? A celebrated anti-hero or simply a cold-blooded killer?
